In this work, the genre forms of Kazakh folklore are taken into the subject of research, the artistic character, aesthetic essence, cognitive essence and instructive function of the image of the fox in it are considered.
The character of the image of the fox, manifested in the world tradition, is analyzed, the features of Kazakh folk literature as a folklore image are analyzed.
