Izumrudov V.A., Kasymova J.S., Musabaeva B.H., Murzagulova K.B. Полиэлектролитные мультислои: получение, свойства и применение / V.A. Izumrudov, J.S. Kasymova, B.H. Musabaeva, K.B. Murzagulova. – Almaty: CyberSmith, 2019. – 108 p.
The monograph is devoted to the consideration of methods for obtaining and studying the properties of polyelectrolyte multilayers and polyelectrolyte micro- and nanocapsules in order to create new objects with modified surfaces used to solve key problems of science and technology.
The method of self-assembly of multilayers by their electrostatic layered formation (Layer-by-Layer or LbL technique) is described in detail, approaches to obtaining and studying the properties of biopolyelectrolyte multilayers, including those based on the natural polymer chitosan, are considered.
Special attention is paid to the application of polyelectrolyte multilayers and polyelectrolyte multicapsules in biotechnology, pharmacology, medicine, biochemistry and engineering.
The results of the authors’ own research on the microcapsulation of anti-tuberculosis drugs using various biopolymers by ionotropic gelation and on the effectiveness of the inclusion of drugs in microcapsules and their prolonged release at pH values corresponding to different parts of the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) are presented.
The monograph is intended for a wide range of specialists working in the field of polymer chemistry, pharmacy, phthisiology and can be useful for undergraduates and undergraduates of chemical, pharmaceutical and medical specialties.
