The monograph is devoted to the study of the theory of export potential, the formation of a methodology for its assessment and the development of a mechanism for implementing an effective export strategy of Kazakhstan in the WTO.
The monograph examines the nature of the category “export potential”, identifies its characteristic parameters, and also gives the author’s definition of this concept. The methods used to determine the quantitative and qualitative parameters of exports allowed us to determine its main factors and the nature of their impact on the economic performance of the country. The analysis of the impact of government subsidies provided in 2009-2017 on the economy of Kazakhstan, for the first time allowed us to assess the compliance of measures of state support to the Kazakh industry with WTO standards. The work proves that expanding the range of products that have proven their competitiveness in some export markets will contribute to further growth and improvement of the export range.
