Leveling of irrigated lands is one of the main conditions for uniform moisture coverage, simultaneous ripening of crops, reduction of irrigation and improvement of reclamation conditions.
Based on research and comparative study of methods of complex planning works in the regions under consideration, the author has obtained a cost-effective method that takes into account the highest possible preservation of the natural fertility of the arable land. Comparative characteristics of automated systems for planning irrigated fields and prospects for development using GIS technologies are presented.
A feature of this tool is the systematization of literary data on modern design methods, on the basis of which effective methods of organization and technology of leveling work are recommended.
