This textbook presents in a systematic and accessible form the basic theories, design and calculation of complex mechanization and automation in the discipline “Technology and mechanization of loading and unloading operations in road transport” for students in the field of training “Transport services”, “Engineering and engineering” of higher and postgraduate education.

The manual contains materials on the role of transport and loading and unloading facilities in the development of the economy of Kazakhstan. It considers loading and unloading operations as an element of the transport process. General information about loading and unloading points on road transport, types of warehouses and receiving devices, as well as the basics of their design are given. The means of mechanization of loading and unloading operations necessary for carrying out these works are described in sufficient detail, materials on the choice of motor vehicles and loading and unloading facilities for their joint work are presented. New means of mechanization and technological processes of complex mechanization of loading and unloading operations in transport, developed at the Department of “Transport Equipment and organization of transportation” of the L.B.Goncharov Kazakh Automobile and Road Institute, are examined. Examples of calculations and reference and normative materials necessary for the selection of schemes, technologies and technical means, as well as a methodology for comparing and evaluating options for complex mechanization of loading and unloading operations with various cargoes are given. These materials can be widely used not only in the educational process of technical universities and colleges, but also in practice – in the production conditions of today’s organizations performing loading and unloading operations.
