The discipline “Composition I“ is a mandatory component of the basic disciplines of the specialty “Design“ and occupies an important place in the education of students. The basic concepts, terms and means of this discipline serve as a methodological basis for a complex of disciplines that form the professional qualities of a future specialist, such as “Drawing“, “Painting“, “Fundamentals of design“, “Elements and processes of design 1-4“, as well as “Designing design objects 1-5“.
The textbook discusses the main types of composition, patterns, basic rules, techniques and means of composition.
Special attention is paid to the consideration of the basic properties of space and form, the peculiarities of perception, as well as the conceptuality and imagery of the compositional solution.
