On April 10, 2026, an informational and educational event titled “An Outstanding Figure of Science – Kanysh Satbayev” was held at the scientific library of the Faculty of History and Geography within the framework of the “Month of Science.”
During the event, a first-year student of the “Landscape Design” program, Korkyt Dinhmukhammed, introduced the participants to the life and work of the first Kazakh geologist. A video about Satbayev and his relatives was shown, and interesting facts from the scientist’s life were presented.
A book exhibition and bibliographic review were organized, featuring some of the scientist’s works, collections of memoirs about Satbayev, the “Kanysh Satbayev” encyclopedia, and other publications reflecting his life and activities.
As a guest, Gulim Eleusinova, Associate Professor of the Department of “General Pedagogy and Educational Management,” Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, shared her warm impressions. During the event, she also highlighted several interesting moments from the scientist’s life.
